Below are the fees for a multi family project:

Registration Fee
Project registration is completed online through USGBC website. Click here to register. Registration fee paid directly to USGBC by Project.

Verification Fee
Provider invoices Project for verification fee. Note: Project Terms and Conditions.  Verification fee must be paid prior to the Preliminary Rating.  Verification fee only covers Provider and Green Rater services (ie. Preliminary Rating, PreDrywall Inspection and Final Verification/Rating). Project is responsible for any other costs.

For Multi Family Pricing
$1,200 per building + $300 per unit

For Example:

7 Units, 1 Building      = (7 x $300) + $1,200
                                  = $3,300 total
                                  = $471 total per unit

25 Units, 1 Building    = (25 x $300) + $1,200
                                  = $8,700 total
                                  = $348 total per unit

92 Units, 5 Building    = (92 x $300) + (5 x $1,200)
                                  = $33,600 total
                                  = $365 total per unit

 

Certification Fee
Project pays certification fee directly to USGBC.

Additional Fees
In addition to what is listed above, the builder will also need a HERS rating and potentially other testing and technical assistance depending on points chosen and builder standard practice.  Associated fees are paid directly to the practitioner.

 

Affordable Housing Projects
Affordable housing projects built by or for a non-profit can apply for grant funds. Contact FSEC for more information prior to registering.
